I think the hardest thing when doing a research on a topic, is to find the most credible source to use. Normally when I search a topic on Google, I click the first link that I see without even paying attention if it’s credibility. Sometimes I’m not sure which information is more reliable than the other, so I intend to use a lot of websites when doing a research. Only at the end of the day I notice that they are not credible and effective enough as my source. This library research course help me about that issue. I learned to critique well which website is a good one from the bad one.
This course had a good explanation of plagiarism; why we shouldn’t do it and how to avoid it. Because of this course, I became more aware of the consequences if I ever do plagiarism. It taught us the proper way to cite someone’s work and the importance of doing it. It made us learn the differences between plagiarism works from those works that are not plagiarized. I learned in this class how to create a work cited better. I learned how to cite other’s people works properly and acknowledging them as a good source.
The Library Research course helped me to be a better researcher online. The sites that this course had provided me are really helpful and credible for me as a researcher. These sites give us mostly all the things that we want when finding an information about a topic. I also learned how to use the library as a college student more efficiently. Over all, I improved my library research skills.
